The following information is relevant for England's One Day International at The Ageas Bowl on monday 16 September 2013 ONLY. Information for future Internationals will be updated in advance of the match.
At International fixtures, parking at, or close to, The Ageas Bowl is strictly limited to hospitality guests, pre-booked Hampshire Cricket Members and disabled spectators.
Hampshire Cricket Members and disabled spectators can book their parking space by calling the Ticket Office on 0844 847 1863.
On Match Days there is a Controlled Parking Scheme in place on roads in the immediate vicinity of the ground and you are advised that any vehicle found to be parked in contravention of 'No Waiting' regulations will be dealt with by the Police.
PLEASE DO NOT DRIVE TO THE AGEAS BOWL UNLESS YOU HAVE A PRE-BOOKED PARKING PASS.
TRAVELLING BY TRAIN OR BUS
Getting to The Ageas Bowl by train couldn’t be easier. Whether arriving at Southampton Airport Parkway, Southampton City Centre or Hedge End Station; there are travel options available to get you to and from The Ageas Bowl.
Southampton Airport Parkway – FREE bus service to and from The Ageas Bowl. Just look out for signs to Bus Service A when exiting the station.
Southampton City Centre and Hedge End Stations – First Bus' 8A and 8B services connect The Ageas Bowl with Hedge End Station and Southampton City Centre. For timetable information please visit www.firstgroup.com/ukbus/hampshire or call 0871 200 22 33.
After the game The Ageas Bowl will provide a limited shuttle service to Southampton Central Station and Hedge End Station. These services will depart from the Marshall Drive Bus Stop up to 60 minutes after the end of the match. The suggested route for travelling to the ground by foot or by bicycle from Hedge End station is approximately 1.4km in length and should take roughly 25-30 mins walk or 10-15 mins cycle. A map of the route is included below:
Free Park & Ride - Public Parking
The Ageas Bowl operates a FREE Park and Ride service for this match.
Park and Ride (Bus Service B) – Junction 8, M27- Bursledon Road (A3024), near Bursledon. There is no official postcode for this site. However a Tesco’s Superstore is nearby and its postcode is SO31 8GN.
PLEASE TURN OFF YOUR SAT NAV WHEN LEAVING THE MOTORWAY AND FOLLOW THE YELLOW AND BLACK SIGNS.
Bus services will begin at 11.30am until approximately 90 minutes after the close or abandonment of play
There is nothing further to pay for this service and there is no need to pre-book, just turn up on the day.
Drop off and Pick-up points
(including disabled patrons and taxis)
There is a drop-off and pick-up area adjacent to the ground. A taxi rank will operate outside the West Gate after the match.
The pre-booked taxi drop-off and pick-up point is situated in the Virgin Active Health Club car park which is adjacent to the Ageas Bowl entrance. To avoid disappointment, particularly after the event, we strongly recommend you pre-book your taxi journey to and from The Ageas Bowl.
A taxi booking desk will be available inside the West Gate.
Travelling by Motorbike / Bicycle
Travelling by Motorbike - Motorbikes are permitted to park FREE at The Ageas Bowl.
All parking is subject to availability. Please follow the signs from Marshall Drive.
Travelling by Bicycle - The Ageas Bowl provides a FREE bicycle storage facility. Please follow the signs from Marshall Drive.
