Balcombe is 'One to Watch'
Balcombe in action for Hampshire last season
Bowler tipped for success in 2012 by Sky Sports
Hampshire seamer David Balcombe is being touted to make a big impression this season.
Sky Sports have selected him as one of their in their ‘Six to Watch’ ahead of the start of the cricketing summer.
The 27-year-old caught the eye while on a loan spell at Kent last season taking 33 wickets at an average of 17.81 in just five matches.
And that sort of performance has seen him rewarded with a new three-year deal at Hampshire.
The competition for places in the bowling attack this season has been thrown wide open with the departures of Dominic Cork, Simon Jones, Imran Tahir and Friedel de Wet and Balcombe could well be leading the attack this summer.
The other five players tipped for the top included Essex fast bowler, Tymal Mills, all-rounders Moises Henriques (Glamorgan), Will Gidman (Gloucestershire) and Lewis Gregory (Somerset) as well as Kent batsman, Daniel Bell-Drummond.
