Young Royals start campaign against Jimmy Adams' St Cross
The Hampshire Academy's 2013 fixture list has been released and the Young Royals face a mouth-watering first match away to Club Captain, Jimmy Adams' team St Cross Symondians on the fourth of May.
The Academy will be hoping to improve on last season's ninth-placed finish in the Southern Electric Premier League and what better place to start than at the ground - the Royal Green Jackets - where they picked up their first away win last season; an incredible seven wicket victory inspired by county debutant, Mo Abdurahman. In that fixture, his bowling return of 4-9 prompted a lower order collapse which saw seven wickets fall for just 21 runs and his team-mates chase down a target of 103 inside 30 overs.
Home matches against Lymington and last season's wooden-spoon winners, Bournemouth also come before the beginning of June as well as a tricky away fixture against 2012 runners-up Bashley (Rydal) and the first round of the T20 Cup.
