Impressive performances from opener Oli Green and seamer James Haggaty guided the Academy to a huge 118-run victory over Ventnor on the Ageas Bowl Nursery Ground.
The youngsters took control of the Time Pennant match during the morning session, with in-form Green (67) sharing a 93-run launch pad with Ventnor-raised Jake George (48).
James Halson (29) and Michael Porter (31) consolidated the Academy's position. And, despite former Hampshire development contract player Jamie Miller (5-81) making inroads, the Young Royals reached 257 all out.
Ventnor lost two wickets at 17 and apart from Adam Hose (48) and, briefly, Neil Westhorpe (23) put up little resistance.
Haggaty produced an effective left-arm spell of 4-14 as Ventnor subsided to 139 all out.
The result was Hampshire’s third win of the campaign and leaves them in mid-table. Up next in this competition is Bashley (Rydal) on Saturday away from home, then its quarter-finals day on Sunday (4pm) when they face Totton & Eling in the Southern Electric twenty20 Cup at the Linden Oval, off Ringwood Road, Totton.
