The Hampshire Royals' Friends Life t20 competition got off to a false start with a rain abandoned match against the Sussex Sharks at the PROBIZ County Ground, Hove.
It means overseas signing Glenn Maxwell and Neil McKenzie will have to wait a little while longer to make their 2012 debuts for the Royals.
The squad's next match is against the Middlesex Panthers at The Ageas Bowl on Monday [18 June].
