New Diamond Debenture Gaining Interest
6% annual interest and best seats for Internationals
The Ageas Bowl Diamond Debenture, which offers both sporting and financial returns, is gaining interest inside and outside of Hampshire.
In the last three weeks, 25% of all Debentures have been allocated with a further 50 enquiries currently on the table.
Hampshire spin-bowling legend, Shane Warne took the first Diamond Debenture on offer and, ever since, the Diamond offering appears to be going the way of the club’s previously-available Platinum, Gold and Silver Debentures. They were launched in 2009 and were oversubscribed.
Recently launched to correspond with the commencement of the final part of The Ageas Bowl’s £48m development, the Diamond Debenture offers a similar mix of financial and entertainment benefits in the new hotel development, including:
- 6% interest paid annually
- No administration fee
- Five-year term up to 2017, whereupon the original capital investment is repaid in full.
- Opportunity to purchase a place in a hospitality box in the new hotel with a seat on the balcony.
A single Diamond Debenture is £7,500 and proceeds will be used to assist with the re-financing being undertaken by The Ageas Bowl to complete the final stages of the venue development.
A total of 260 Diamond Debentures have been made available and are open to individual savers, while individuals or corporate clients can also purchase a “Diamond Cluster” package which offers exclusive access to a private suite for up to 10 people for £70,000 – a saving of £5,000 - for up-coming England Internationals.
The Ageas Bowl will host a minimum of 12 days of international cricket up to the end of summer 2016. Australia, India and Pakistan will all visit the iconic venue, while International Matches for summer 2017 are still to be confirmed.
Incoming Chief Executive of The Ageas Bowl, David Mann said: “I am delighted that the Diamond Debenture package is proving as popular as our previous Debenture offerings.
“We have a truly mouth-watering allocation of International matches coming to The Ageas Bowl over the next five years. The opportunity to see those matches from some of the best seats in the house with full hospitality, together with an annual return of 6% makes this a really unique product and a very attractive prospect for investors.”
