Extra Tickets on Sale for Ageas Bowl ODI
More than 1,000 added due to high demand
The Ageas Bowl is pleased to announce that, due to popular demand, extra seats have been made available for the England vs. West Indies One Day International on 16 June 2012.
All bar 700 of the ground’s permanent seats had already been sold prior to the West Indies squad’s arrival in the UK last week. Ageas Bowl officials now expect that to be sold out by the end of this week.
Therefore, temporary seats, as well as blocks K and M in the coveted Northern End section, are being opened up to the public to accommodate an anticipated last minute surge in ticket sales.
Group Commercial Director, Zac Toumazi said; “We’ve seen a great deal of interest in this match, and I think that’s only right as it will be the first ODI of the English summer. Both sides have a really exciting group of players with one of the best all-round One-Day cricketers in the world, Chris Gayle potentially in the frame for the West Indies and an England side full of confidence after a 4-0 Series win against Pakistan.
“So it should be a great day out. It’s a Saturday so it’s a great excuse to bring the whole family and enjoy two of the most exciting teams in World One-Day Cricket go head-to-head.”
Hampshire Cricket Members have the opportunity to purchase their individual ticket at the discounted rate of £53 for Adults (saving £10) with Under 16’s just £10. They have until 5pm on Friday 18th May to take advantage of the discount. Thereafter, tickets will be priced as per the general public.
Corporate hospitality is still available for the match, priced from £299 per person excluding VAT.
